Surgery and Dental

Our surgery suite has some of the most modern equipment available in veterinary medicine.  Our standards and techniques ensure the safety of your animal at all times while in our facility.  At Pet Doctor your animal is under constant observation before, during, and after a procedure.

Common Daily Procedures

  • Orthopedics

Dr. Nelson, our head surgeon, specializes in complex orthopedics cases. He is always willing to speak to clients about their options when faced with the prospects of a surgery such as this.
  • Canine and Feline Spay/Neuter

As far as common procedures go, nothing improves overall health and behavior of a dog or cat than having this procedure done. It is also a public service that helps keep the homeless cat and dog population from overcrowding shelters.
  • Exploratory Procedures

You would be surprised what your pet will eat, especially the young ones. Look out for change in behavior, appetite, and bowel movements.  If you see any of these, come in and we will put together a course of action for you.
  • Mass Removals

If you have noticed any lumps or skin tags on your animal, bring them in and we can determine the kind of mass and go over your options in removing it.  We keep all specimens in case you want it sent out for further testing.

This list is only an example of our most common surgeries, if you have questions about specific procedures give us a call at (520) 829-5166.

Dental disease can lead to serious health concerns such as heart and cardiovascular problems, bone abnormalities, cancers, and poor general well being of an animal.  Your pet's dental health needs can easily be taken care of with a quick and simple procedure that lasts no longer than 20 minutes.
