Dr. Shapero is originally from Buffalo, NY, which had been home through undergraduate school and a Master’s program at the University at Buffalo. He developed his interest in veterinary medicine through his general love of biology and its medical applications, with the help of his pets, of course. He completed veterinary school at Michigan State University in 2014 and then worked in a rural mixed-animal practice in Northeast Michigan. He particularly enjoys cases in ACL/knee injuries and is looking forward to furthering his interest in oncology.
Dr. Shapero and his wife, Kathryn, live with two dogs – Aurora, a Siberian Husky, and Wyatt, a German Shepherd, and two cats – Pekoe and Sencha. Both look forward to taking advantage of the great outdoors of Idaho, including hiking, bicycling, kayaking, skiing, and more.
